| Having
trained in Berlin at the Institute of Reflexology which specialises
in the integrated hands, feet, ears approach, I practiced reflexology
in Hanover for 2 years before moving back to England in September
2004. I am a full member of the German Reflexology Association and
the Association of Reflexologists.
I am delighted to be part of the Head to Toe group of practitioners
because we all share a common goal - to help others restore their
health by gentle means.
The first reflexology session usually lasts one and a half ours
and subsequent sessions from fifty minutes to one hour. I usually
start by using integrated massage (hands, ears and feet) as it enables
me to better assess which massage technique would best be suited
to your needs. For the treatment, you need only remove footwear
and jewellery and you sit in a comfortable reclining chair, covered
by a blanket in colder weather. Reflexology can be used to treat
specific ailments and to help restore and maintain the body’s
natural equilibrium. I have had very encouraging results treating
people with insomnia,
digestive
disorders, migraine,
pains in back,
neck and shoulders and also stress-related
conditions. Reflexology has also had a positive psychological effect
on people suffering from Parkinson’s
disease, Cancer
and ME
(Chronic Fatigue Syndrome).
Reflexology is suitable for all ages and may bring relief from
a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Whether you choose
reflexology as a way of relaxing mind and body or whether it is
to address specific conditions, your step will be lighter when you
leave the Head to Toe premises, that I guarantee.
