A chartered phsiotherapist & senior practitioner with a wide range of experience in the assessment & management of injury, gained over 25 years in clinical practice.

Education in prevention of injury (both sports specific coaches & competing athlete)
Orthopaedic screening of young competitors in vocational dance (age 12 – 19)
Previously a member of the physio team supporting British Gymnastics
Member of the Medical team at a number of World Games held in the UK
Trauma & orthopaedics gained at two specialist hospitals in Birmingham
Now entering her fifth year in private practice providing support to the local GP community in the assessment & treatment of a range of conditions.
Referrals typically include:
- Back, neck pain
- Over use injuries e.g. tennis elbow, Achilles tendonitis
- Shoulder conditions
- Knee pain
- Foot & ankle trauma including mobilisation following removal of foot surgery plaster
- Supported rehabilitation following the removal of plaster, graduated weight bearing
- Wrist & hand therapy required following fractures
- Sports specific injuries, tennis, rugby, football, running, golf, gym dance
Consultant referrals include:
- Management of conditions which do not require surgery in the first instance
- Rehabilitation following joint replacement – hip, knee
- Post operative physio following day case surgery – arthroscopy of knee & shoulder
- Supported rehab. following spinal surgery e.g. microdiscectomy, spinal decompression
The aim of treatment is to support the individual needs of each patient, to ensure that they regain, where possible, full function & a supported return to activities of daily living which frequently include competitive sport.
Home visits. Often at the request of the GP
The service compliments that of the NHS frequently supporting patients in their own home following discharge from hospital or Community Care.

Self referral, GP or Consultant referral.
Registered with most Health Insurance Companies.
Referring on:
Sometimes physiotherapy is not appropriate for your condition without further investigation. In such cases there are established referral pathways in place for MRI scan & Consultant referral. This includes liasing with your GP and, most importantly, supporting you in the process of accessing the appropriate care.
Referral to other practitioners such as podiatrist & massage therapist.
