Bowen Therapy - Sandria Marks
Sandria has been a full-time Bowen Therapist since 1997 and practices at several different complementary health centre’s in the Warwickshire and West Midlands area.
It is a totally unique, non-invasive, hands-on holistic therapy, which was developed in Australia in the 1950’s and practiced in the UK since the early 1990’s; named after it’s creator Tom Bowen.
The Treatment and what it Involves
Treatment consists of a sequence of gentle rolling movements over muscles and soft tissue of the body, interspersed with periods of rest and is almost all-embracing in its effectiveness.
Bowen Therapy is a deceptively simple technique which is gentle, yet deeply penetrating, (Indeed during the first treatment clients often question how such a gentle move can have any effect – Answer ”it has to be experienced to be believed”).
Who Will Benefit From Bowen Therapy
It can be used on men, women and children, from infants to the very elderly, and has also been demonstrated to be useful on animals.
The treatment is tailored to treat the individuals’ needs, if in doubt the practitioner will refer the client to their GP.
